Cultural Calendar
Our Cultural Calendar helps set the rhythm of our school culture. Each month the calendar highlights overarching themes that flow with the changing of the seasons. Within it are embedded human virtues/values to emphasize, all school and community festivals, and projects or seasonal themes of study.
This calendar sets the intention and tone of our school, and ties all of the moving parts together to help create community and purpose. For example, the month of September is focused around Color, Orientation, Community, and our Apple Sauce Social. The month of December is focused around Sharing, Compassion and Seasonal Cycles. In December the children guide their families on a lantern-lit hike during our Solstice Celebration.
